Jim Harrison Appears in Best Seller List for the First Time

 

The late author Jim Harrison has landed on the New York Times’ bestsellers list for the first time ever. The book The Ancient Minstrel has occupied 14th place in the March 10th New York Times’ bestsellers of the hardcover fiction list.

Jim Harrison (December 11, 1937 – March 26, 2016) was an American author known for his poetry, fiction, reviews, and essays. He is best known for his 1979 novella Legends of the Fall.

The Ancient Minstrel is a collection of three novellas: “The Ancient Minstrel,”Eggs,” and “The Case of the Howling Buddha’s.” The closest Jim Harrison had come on the list was three years ago, when his novella collection “The River Swimmer” landed at No. 32 on the extended list.
