The beauty of Roald Dahl is the simplicity of his writing style, making his books palatable to any age group. Matilda (made more famous by the movie), is a bed time novel born to stoke a child’s imagination. It chronicles the life of a little girl, spurned by her parents and her rise to overcome all that life threw at her. She of course was gifted, but it takes nothing away from the message, that “where there’s a will, there’s a way”.

Read to make that inner child smile.
